Digital marketer Laura Anderson , from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has amassed almost 90,000 followers on TikTok by sharing tips on how to earn six figures while ‘barely working’
‘We are currently in the gold rush era of AI. These copywriting AI softwares and chatbot AI softwares can literally make you millions of dollars, and people just don’t know how to monetize it yet.’
Laura then goes on to list six things that people could do ‘right now’ to make money off ChatGPT, adding: ‘And the best part? It’s free.’
She explained you can charge clients for doing their resume revisions and custom cover letters.
‘What you do is you upload their cover letter into ChatGPT and it has all the best information at its little keyboard fingertips, and it will revise these resumes based on the career path that they wanna go in,’ Laura said.
‘These resumes are absolutely top notch and they will create cover letters based on these resumes for the specific jobs that they are applying for.’
The digital marketing consultant added each resume and custom cover letter would take you ‘literally two minutes’ to pull together, and ‘you can charge hundreds of dollars’ for it.
She also suggested people use the AI chatbot to do jobs such as copywriting, website audits, coding, being a translator, and a financial advisor.
‘People pay big, big bucks for really good financial education and financial knowledge, and no you don’t need a degree or certificate,’ Laura explained.
In two recent videos, she called on people to jump on the ChatGPT ‘gold rush.’ She lists six things that people could be doing ‘right now’
‘ChatGPT can summarize all of the top financial information from the top financial advisors out there, and summarize it based on real time… and feed it out.’
As for one of her personal favorites, coding, Laura said ChatGPT could help people design and build a custom website.
‘It can write out all the code for you,’ she added.
‘Website developers charge upwards of $20,000 to build a fully custom website that takes them months to complete.’
But Laura said you can do the same job ‘easily build and code multiple websites within days,’ without any prior knowledge because ChatGPT will do the job for you.
She dubbed it a ‘serious moneymaker.’
Laura’s videos have divided opinion online, with one of her TikToks garnering more than 1.5 million views.
‘First: why they would pay someone to go on chatGPT when they can do it themselves. Second, this is literally cheating as you are copying chatGPT,’ one person wrote.
‘ChatGPT is all over the news for 2 months now, 100s of YouTube videos on how do everything with it. Even if a fool pays u it will be minimal,’ another added.
Someone else said: ‘If I paid for someone to write my resume and cover letter and they just used chatGPT I would literally sue!’
‘It’s like paying someone for google something lol,’ a fourth TikTok user wrote.
One comment read, ‘Clients seeing this,’ adding a shocked face emoji.

Laura responded, saying: ‘This always makes me laugh. if I was doing anything wrong that I didn’t want my clients to see I wouldn’t be making videos about it.’
A TikTok user who said they were a copywriter offered this feedback: ‘It’s still not great with brand voice and personality.’
The digital marketer replied: ‘You can tell it the brand voice.’
Some people in the comments section were on-board with Laura’s suggestions.
‘I think you’re on to something! You still have to know how to prompt the AI and package it up nicely,’ one fan said.
Another wrote: ‘These comments don’t pass the vibe check. This nice lady is giving us free advice. If you don’t like it, just scroll on by. Sheesh.’
‘I used chatgpt to land my current new job, it revamped my resume and wrote me a cover letter tailored to the company + position,’ a former jobseeker said.
Speaking to DailyMail.com, Laura defended her videos and addressed the strong reactions her advice had triggered.
‘People either love it or they hate it, and they think you’re doing something wrong,’ she said.
The Fort Lauderdale digital marketing consultant’s video has garnered strong reactions
‘You’re using the internet. You use the internet for everything you do in your life, and now this is helping you compile that information, [in a] super, super fast and super articulate [way], that’s all it does.
‘I think people don’t realize because they’ll say like, “you’re charging people, or you’re suggesting people charge for things that they could easily do themselves.”
‘And it’s like, of course, we can easily do so many things ourselves. Starbucks is a billion-dollar company, and they charge you for the simplest task of making a cup of coffee, which you could do at your house for free, but you still pay them to do it because we’re America. We like convenience, right?’
As for skeptics who believe Laura is encouraging people to be ‘deceitful,’ she says: ‘I’m on the internet screaming about it, I’m being very transparent.
‘It’s still a mundane task… it does take really good prompts, and it is an ongoing conversation with ChatGPT… it does take a little bit of time, and it does take crafting and skill.
‘I think in the future we’re going to see a lot of job titles that are to AI like… senior prompt engineer, who is just mastering how to actually optimize AI as efficiently and as great as possible.’
Laura created the 10hr $10k Work Month course, which teaches people a digital skill and ‘how to build a consulting business where you outsource the work.’
‘Allowing you to work minimum hours while earning maximum income,’ her website reads.
The self-confessed ‘anti-workaholic’ told DailyMail.com that she ran a ‘mini-consultant firm,’ where she offered marketing services and had ‘contractors that actually do all of the work.’
‘I usually just serve as quality control and client-facing, which ends up being very minimal work,’ Laura added.
‘I’ve always been, “What’s the easiest ways to do things without having to actually having to do the work, and still make really good money.”‘
